SADI - kuwait city - SADU HOUSE
Mishari was invited by Sadu House along with four local artist to partake in SADI’s 4th run. SADI is an ambitious program envisioned by Al Sadu Society to encourage creativity and innovation in contemporary textile arts and design for artists in Kuwait.
For 2019, Sadu house wanted to fully activate the idea of sustainability. SADI artists-in-residence, have gone through a one-month mentorship program where they were immersed in weekly talks, workshops, and research exercises that expanded the understanding of textile arts. It began with a series of lectures, initiated by Patron and Honorary President of Al Sadu Society, Sheikha Altaf Salem Al Ali Al Sabah and esteemed artist Sami Mohammed, who spoke of the history of sadu weaving and personal artistic experiences.
