Spaces in narrative - kuwait city - almakan
Mishari AlNajjar's first solo exhibition was an extension of the ongoing Architectural Stories - #mjalnajjararcstory. The interactive display was intended to engage the audience firsthand in spaces, buildings and stories that have long occupied his mind. The stories presented observe forgotten buildings in Kuwait City, and bring to light various facets of human behavior. Ranging from realistic to surreal fiction.

Residency
Recording sessions were conducted on a six day residency during which visitors were welcomed to explore the concepts behind each story and participate in building the narrative. Visitors had a pick of different scenes from the narratives. After learning the scene a short audio outtake was recorded. The collective sound of the visitors was played during the exhibition.
